What Is a MWNID?
Your Munich Scientific Network ID Number (Münchner Wissenschaftsnetzidentifikationsnummer - MWNID) is an unique 16-digit hexadecimal ID number issued to all students and employees of colleges and institutes in Munich which are connected to the Munich Scientific Network (MWN) through the Leibniz-Rechenzentrum (LRZ).
The MWNID is permanent, so it is kept even after exmatriculation, changing the job, etc.
