Protecting your user IDs and passwords
Your user IDs and passwords are assets that require special protection, particularly considering that you can log in to many different TUM systems and services with the same access data. TUMonline, Moodle, the eduroam WiFi and the TUM email account all use the same password for instance. If you change this centrally in TUMonline, it immediately affects the other services.
That means: Someone who acquires your password can log in to all of these services in your name, work with whatever access and administrative rights you possess and read your emails.
